Private-school teachers’ welfare is now before the Supreme Court
Writ Petition before the Supreme Court of India. The plea asks for pension, medical assistance, insurance, disability support and post-retirement social security for private-school teachers, carried from classrooms to the national stage.
Filed by Ligimol George, National Coordinator, All India Teachers Federation (AITF). The development has been reported by Bar & Bench and Verdictum.
The Court seeking responses is a significant development, but it is not a final judgment. No benefits have been granted as a result of this development, and the advocacy continues.
